Having pregnancy symptoms. Tiredness, larger/tender breasts, and from what I can tell, an expanding waistline. I am on the pill and never miss. Had an on time, but very irregular (lighter, shorter, and brighter in colour), period Sept. 14.
Neg. blood tests on Sept. 13 as well as the 20th. Last neg. urine test, Sept. 21.
I've been told to continue taking the pill as usual and that there is no chance I'm pregnant.
At this point I would be 32 DPO. Approx. 6 wks.
How do I convince my Dr. to approve an ultrasound to confirm without doubt that I’m not pregnant?

By this point your body would have to have SOME HGC in the blood to read on your blood tests.

You doctor could check your cervix for you if you really think you might be pregnant.

its normal for your body to act as though its pregnant when you believe that you are. Honestly your blood tests are enough to confirm that you're not pregnant. Especially since you tested a twice, a week apart.

well doctors rely on fact. if there isn't a positive pregnancy test then to them there is no reason to check up on it. wait til your next period is supposed to come. after you miss a period you should have a good enough hgc result to produce a positive result . then you'll get that ultrasound til then i guess there isn't a lot you can do. i had a positive result and 3 weeks later started bleeding heavily the doc said miscarriage but 4 weeks later all of my symptoms were still there , i got an ultrasound for that and sure enough 11 weeks pregnant !! ( august 2002). I am now 8 weeks pregnant for my third child and haven't had any problem with the doctors at all !

YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT!!! Docs test are sure and the 'symtoms' you are having are from you thinking sooo much that you might be!! The mind is a powerful thing!!! You can't convince him to do it because he is convince that you aren't! at 6 weeks an ultrasound would be too soon and cannot see if there is a baby anyway but don't worrie YOU ARE NOT PREGNANT!!

You're not gonna convince your doc or any other doc to do an ultra sound if you have had multiple negative pregnancy tests(blood & urine).ALso the symptoms you're feeling may not have anythign to do with actually being pregnant. You can convince yourself that you have the symptoms enough & you can actually get them & not be pregnant at all.

I doubt you can. It's an expensive procedure and with two negative blood tests, I don't see how the doctor could justify ordering one.

first he would want to do urine samples, maybe some blood work, if you have a vag exam he can tell if you are pregnant or not. YOU CAN GET PREGNANT ON THE PILL. it is not 100%. you may also want to see your regular doc

in case you in easy terms peed in a cup and not see him placed the pee on a try strip of a PG try then the pee interior the cup become extra for finding out for suger and bateria for a UTI, and not a PG try. i dont belive DRs can run a PG try with out your permission. he will ask approximately ignored classes and sexual intercourse becuse while you're sexualy lively he might want to objective for STDs becuse there superb caught early and can want to talk start administration with you.. i dought he actualy did a PG try,

You are not going to be able to convince your Dr as you put it...You aren't pregnant. Go see another Dr if you are adamant that you are pregnant and see if they will send you for an ultrasound.

You should ask your regular doc and if they say no you can find a different doctor or go to a gyn.
