Why do people constantly return to the refrigerator with hopes that something new to eat will have materialized?

The reason I do it is because there are indeed things to eat in the fridge, just nothing that suits me. I go back periodically to see if I've gotten hungry enough that the bologna looks more appetizing than it did a few minutes ago. Usually it doesn't, I despise bologna, but I look anyway.

Wish I knew, I would stop it if I could, but I laughed when I read this because I can go look twice in the space of ten min. I wonder if there are such things as fridge fairy's. LOL!

I wish I knew the answer to this one. My son is constantly poking his head in there but never really gets anything out. Maybe he is looking for Narnia...

we are like dogs, one time we found something to eat there so we always return with high hopes.

Good question! I do that myself. I try not to do it, though, and if I want something to eat that's not in the fridge, then I go and get it if I want it bad enough. lol

I know what you mean. I am bad about doing that too. I guess in hopes that the food fairy drops in while your not looking. LOL!!

I can't beat the Narnia answer, that is classic. I don't do that myself, but have wondered the same thing.
