I had this done last year. It did hurt me but I could handle it. It just felt like very bad cramps. My doctor toldd me to take some Ibuprofin before going in to help with the pain. I went to work right afterwards so you can drive. I had slight cramping afterwards throughout the day. I was also told to bring a panty liner for afterwards because there may be some dye that leaks back out afterwards. I hope all is well for you! Good Luck!

I had the HSG test done. You will be fine. Its really no more pain then a pap test. I was really nervous when I had mine done. I drove afterwards. You might have SLIGHT cramping. It is messy afterwards and you have to ware a pad. The dye is very sticky and it feels like glue. If your doctor is like mine then he/she will let you see the pics of you fallopian tubes after the test is done. Good Luck

It might hurt a little, but if your willing to go through the pain of childbirth, then don't worry so much about a little pain now. Believe me once you've been through the birth process all other pain pales in comparison.

My friend had it done, and she has a high pain tolerence, she said it wasnt too bad, but she yelled at the doctor because it did hurt a little.

Just stay relaxed, its the best thing you can do.

I had a very bad experience with it. I think it is important to relax and to have someone with you. Focus on something else (or on the screen) and hope for the best.

It is encouraging that so many women had good experiences with it.

I had one done and it does not hurt all that much. Very mild cramping is all.

mild cramping yes, but if you can tolerate a period, you can tolerate this. Keep your eye on the prize.....you want that baby....go for it!!
