I used to dread it too - that is - until I learned to ski. Now I just can't wait to get out there on the snow - it's the best feeling ever. Why not give it a go and you might not dread winter so much then.

Learn to love Winter like I do. Now you can travel on public transport and not melt, snuggle up all nice and warm in bed with a hot water bottle and a cup of cocoa/hot chocolate, have a lot more energy (in Summer you have none), look forward to snow and Christmas, go on a Skiing/Snowboarding holiday (recommended), gain an hour in bed and hide all the weight you put on over Summer by buying clothes from a Winter/Autumn catalogue.

I've always loved winter. There's a feeling in air that just can't be beat and it smells so clean outside, it's almost indescribable. We bought a house that has a fireplace in the living room, which we use all winter. It makes every thing cozy and comfortable. We roast wienies and marshmallows in the fireplace too!. Winter can be just as fun as summer, you just have to use your imagination. Snowball fights, sledding, bonfires outside, not to mention cuddling on the couch in front of the fire with your kids and just enjoying the moment. Ahhh, can't wait!

I find winter rather cosy, yes you can't go out as much as in summer and it can be less fun. But winter has it's own charm in a different way. We got Christmas and the New Year to look forward to, it's always feels like a magical time even though i'm no longer a kid.

Oh, I just love it! For all the reasons other people do. Can't stand this mizzly, warm/cold time of year where you never know what to go out in! At least in winter you know you'll need to keep warm. And I know it doesn't snow like it used to, but I still like being inside when it's freezing outside, or going out all wrapped up and feeling the cold wind on your face :o)

I'm sure I'm not alone here, but I'm really looking forward to it.

I look forward to each new season and they all have their merits, and here are some things I love about winter:

Crisp cold mornings scraping the ice off the car whilst the sun shines

Being snug and warm inside whilst it's cold and raining outside

Big warm jumpers that cover a multitude of sins

Christmas and everything connected to it - shopping, wrapping prezzies, decorating the tree, seeing friends and family, having time off work!

Getting inside when you're freezing and having hot bath, clean comfy clothes and something warm to drink

Ok, I admit I hate it that I work through the only hours of daylight and I hate driving in the snow, but there's just so many good things to look forward to! Come on, some of you must be looking forward to it now??

I enjoy winter for a couple of months, sometimes even three. However, by February I start to long for warm sunshine and blue skies. I live in St Austell in Cornwall and we already have our Chrismtas lights up - on 28 September!! Feeling a little Christmassy already!

I'm not fond of winter and I was born in December. Did you know more people show signs of depression during the winter months. It's said that this is the case because of less sunlight.

As i look out the window at a leaden sky and a hostile sea, i'm dreading it too. I will try to defy its black spells by booking a week in the sun at some stage.
