I believe that whatever is meant to be will be, and there is no avoiding it. If you make a mistake, it will fix itself in the end, and you will somehow end up back on track. Sometimes what you thought you wanted was a mistake, and so it falls through, and you're devastated, because you were so convinced it was right, but somewhere further down the line you realise it was not because something amazing happens.
This may be overworded, and you may not follow so let me give you an example. I worked at West ham football ground in the shop. I just didn't like it, so I left. A few months later I got a job at Superdrug. I made some very good friends there and made a good male friend, whom I maintained contact with even after he moved to Leeds for university. Three years after he left he invited me to go to a show with him in Leeds, so I went, and stayed at his place. When I came home he asked me out, and I said no. A few weeks later I had an utter change of opinion and asked him if he was still interested. We've been together nearly nine months now and he's the best thing that ever happened to me.
When I left West Ham I felt really bad about it, but had I not, I never would have worked at Superdrug, and never would have met my bf. So everything happens for a reason.
Likewise, when you make a mistake, you end up back where you're supposed to be, if it really is supposed to be. I said no to my bf, and yet I've ended up with him, and it's so right. The universe won't let you miss the opportunities you're supposed to seize.
I chose a different university from the one I ended up at, and I was sure I wanted to go there, but they rejected me despite good grades because I had not taken a science at A-level. Looking back, my university is the uni better suited to my needs - nearer to home, better facilities for my purposes, more dedication to my subject, and smaller, which I certainly prefer. And I've made excellent friends.
It all seems to work out in the end, and I think what is supposed to be will be no matter what. Don't worry, what is meant to be will be, and no matter how much you may doubt it in the meanwhile, you will understand further down the line, and be gratefulful for how circumstances resolve themselves.

In life you have a mapped out journey from your birth/death. But along that path. You come to intersections/crossroads and short cuts even roundabouts.
I made a decision 15 yrs ago and through circumstances I have now come back to the question then asked. Like you my decision is to either relive the life like I did during those 15 yrs or try something new. I also know that I do not need to be hasty in making my next decision but wait until certain factors feel right and then move on my journey path. With the hindsight of mistakes and treasures during those 15 yrs.

No one every makes mistakes. Because what will be will be. People think they make mistakes because they hurt someone, get in trouble, etc. But really that is just part of what is supposed to be. If the path to what we were destined to do was simple then life would be pointless.
And so many people on here have been saying we all make choices and we have free will. But I would like to know how they define free will. How do you know you are really making YOUR own choice? Are you sure you arent making a choice based on anything else in your life?

Nothing is 'meant to be' and there is nothing that cannot be influenced by our actions - be it a smile to someone at a critical moment for them or the strength of our determination to achieve a goal. But you can 'never tell' because other people have other determinations, other goals and smile at different times. But if enough people (and it might only take two) act in the same direction and at the right time, then it will SEEM that what was meant to be, WILL be.

Yes and No and May-be.
Yes if you don't plan for it.
No if you examine all the adverse consequences before you do it.
May-be. A couples car broke down on the motorway.
Waiting for help, a car on the other side of the road flipped over and jumped the barrier and landed on top of the waiting car.
Both were killed.
The thought is good though, and it was the way of life for all of us during the war.
There was no other way to live.

hmmm, tricky. I think things happen for a reason, but our fate isn't mapped out. If something is meant to be, it will come to pass, no amount of mistakes can prevent it happening. Wrong choices can simply be a minor set back on what is meant to be.

Nothing is meant to be. You are the master of your own destiny.
If you make a choice it can't be undone because what is done, is done. After making that choice you can always try to correct it if you feel it was wrong. That's why destiny is in your own hands.

Yes, I think that if something is meant to be, then it will eventually happen one way or the other.
I don't think you can really tell. Even if you really want something to happen and it doesn't, that doesn't mean that it was meant to be.

We all have free will, so it depends very much on the choices that you make in your life as to what will happen, we are our own creators so lets be aware of what we are creating, and as like attracts like make them all good creations.
