Little neon green dots are now visible on my laptop...?

Is this normal? I don't remember seeing them before. Is this why I have been having eye strain? What can I do? The laptop is abt a 3 yr old compaq...

Seeing little green dots on your screen means your laptop screen is going bad, one pixel at a time. Thats what happens as LCD screens age.
