a man has two children (by different women) and marries a woman without children who wants 2 of her own one day. they agree to have 2 before marrying. he secretly changes his mind about wanting children with her and gets furious when she gets pregnant, hence not fully supporting her like he could or should. now he is getting a vasectomy which is scheduled 2 days from the due date. why is he so selfishly adamant about having the procedure done in spite of what they orginally planned and so close to the baby being born?

You said it. Because he's selfish. I think he should be able to do what he wants with his own body, however, he shouldn't have lied to you about it.

sounds like he may not want to support all of these kids. He apparently likes doing what it takes to make babies so he sees a vasectomy as a way to get out of raising anymore. He may have made those other children without thinking about it until the baby mamas said they were pregnant. Now he will have 3 kids and that is a lot to take care of and because he chose to make those kids and have to take care of them you are suffering because you want more and he is probably thinking 4 is too many.

He doesn't have a good track record with women and in a way he is punishing his wife by having the vasectomy. The good news is they sometimes fail. They need to discuss why he changed his mind and he needs to be aware of how betrayed she feels by him doing this.

As rough as this sounds, I can understand him not wanting anymore kids, and he feels tricked into having one with his current wife - so he is going out of his way to prove his point so that this doesn't happen again. She must accept the fact that no means no - that's part of marriage. And people are also allowed to change their minds.

all his money may be going to child support. He could wait until after the baby is born.he may still be in pain and can't make it to the hospital for the birth.he may not think he is not a good father 2 the other 2 kids.the wife needs to ask the husband why he changed his mind.

Because he has changed his mind. And is certain he does not want anymore children. He does not want to be tricked into having anymore. This way he can be sure it will not happen again

You got what you wanted. You got a child so be happy.

Child support is expensive and supportting 3 kids is a lot. he is a SMART man. Deal with it.

He probably does not want anymore children or maybe this lady does not appear to be a good mother and he wants no more.

What an A hole...this is a sign of things to come! she needs to 'tuck tail and run' she'd be better off raising this baby on her own, what kind of 'man morals' is that to pass on to a child?

maybe he has changed his mind out the relationship
but since you are preg he has to stay, but has every intention of leaving once the child is born
those are all possibilities
talk to him
he is the only one who can tell you why
