Check out this rapper from LA! I like him personally, the music is old skool, with a message and the cost for the CD's are greatly priced!

I guess I am old school, but what comes to my mind are almost any tracks by Eric B and Rakim, "Looking for the Perfect Beat" , "Play That Beat Mr. DJ" - G.L.O.B.E./Whiz Kid, Run D.M.C., "Peter Piper", Public Enemy, "Fight the Power"...I could go on and on...
Check out the CDs that are old school hip hop or rap compilations. You can get those off of Amazon, local record stores or places that specialize in mix CDs. (that would actually be your best bet) The mix CDs will have old or new school tracks on them.
