There are a few things a woman can do...get to the doctor ASAP to get levels checked. The progesterone level especially. If the progesterone level is low the dr. can prescribe her either shots or suppositories to help support the pregnancy.

I miscarried 3 times before my daughter was born and finally was put on progesterone. I'm convinced it had help a little at least.

Your doctor can also check to see if her cervix is closed tightly enough.

Miscarriage is mostly the result of genetic deformitiy. There is no precautions one can take, and it is fact, most woman will have at least one miscarriage in their lifetime.
Here's the good news, wait a few months, a woman is most fertile after the loss of pregnancy, no matter wether from birth or miscarriage.,
You know, its takes a lot for two single cells to create a perfect little body.

I'm the mother of 2 and pregnant with my 3rd.I had 2 miscarriages in between getting pregnant with my daughter. Also about 3 weeks ago I miscarried with one of my baby's.I can honestly tell you there are no precautions you can take. With my 1st miscarriage I was 21 weeks and had a terrible headache.I went to see OB and there was no heartbeat and the ultrasound showed the baby had just quit forming at about 18 weeks.Theres not much you can do except try and avoid stress ,take your vitamins, exercise and try to keep healthy.Good luck.

Without a doubt, start taking prenatal vitamins BEFORE you get pregnant! (If you are already pregnant, start taking them NOW).
This helps prevent neural tube and other defects.

Next, EAT! I was on a very low fat diet and excercised for hours a day because I wanted my baby to be super healthy. I miscarried. Make sure you drink enough water, too.

My second pregnancy, I gained 10 pounds during the first month because I made sure I ate a lot. My baby came out super healthy.

Specifically make sure you eat well during the first 2 to 3 months. This is when the organs and nervous system are forming. Very important.

Also, we don't know why we have miscarriages. Don't worry, EAT, and you will get pregnant again. Don't be afraid! :)))

It really depends on if your wanting to get pregnant again. If you are then don't worry about any kind of birth control. But when it comes to miscarriages it's not how the woman takes care of herself, it's how the baby is forming. Your body just knows how to reject something when things aren't right. I have had 4 miscarriages myself. It doesn't make it any easier, but as long as your taking your pre-natal vitamins, eating right, and getting enough exercise she should be fine. Good Luck!

There is nothing you can do to prevent a miscarriage...its nature's way of saying that there is something wrong with the pregnancy...you can look after yourself and eat right, and get lots of sleep. Other than that no

Make sure she remains healthy, eats right, avoids stress. most early miscarriages are caused by stress, sickness, weightloss, or other factors like that.
