Not a lot of information on what kind of medical business you have. But in general most medical related business operations are referred by another provider. Your best bet is to market that provider and follow up all referrals with a patient report and thank you letter. If you give a little more information perhaps the answers will improve.

If your operating a single office private practice, most of your patients are going to come from referrals.

The other thing that you can do, is offer more flexible hours than other doctors. It may entail opening your office one or two nights per week.

Fliers mailed to your specific area may the most advantageous method to get that message out.

I spent 35 years in business, and before stores opened all hours, I offered that service, one or two nights, and during recession, Sundays. At a point, I discontinued it after building a clientele.
I began by advertising my home phone. That became a nuisance, with calls at midnight. Stopped that pretty quickly. Your parctice would be different. You can use an answering machine or service.

I am assuming you do not provide professional personal services in your business - physician, occupational therapist, nurse, etc.

If you are selling goods or non-professional services, you can increase your total number of customers by:

1. Purchasing those clients by purchasing a competitor.
2. Increasing the geographical area you service or market to.
3. Run marketing and advertising programs to increase the number of customers.

There are other ways to increase your revenues if this is your ultimate goal. Increase the dollar amount of revenues produced by existing customers or increase the frequency of their purchases are two that come to mind.......
