When i try to turn off my computer it gets to the "windows shutting down" screen and then freezes,i cant get off of that screen even if i move my mouse or use ctrl/alt/delete and i cant even turn of the power on the computer by pushing the button,it just stays on..the only way to get my computer back is to unplug it and plug it back in and than its fine but i dont want to have to do this.Any clue whats going on? I dont seem to have any other problems that are obvious.

My hubby had the some problems with his computer awhile ago. I went to two websites and did some searching there. It's a forum for people to post questions about their computers and how to fix them. And you can post your problem or read through all the other posts to see if you can find a solution on your own. They'll even help you figure out if it's a virus or spyware that is the root to all your problems. It has been helpful for me.

There seem to be some processes that just don't stop. That's causing the computer to not shut down. Run spyware detection software like Ad-Aware or Spybot - Search & Destory. Perhaps it is spyware that's hanging your PC up.
