NO, not a waste of time at all. I myself am a single mother of 3 sons, a full time college student and I work part time. My sons also play football 5 nights a week and games on Saturday. So with that, I don't get a whole lot of tv time to be able to watch sports. I have to read it from the paper. I think the sports section should be in the front!!!!

Newspapers are entirely a waste.... with so many other ways to get the news, why use up all that paper each day to reiterate the things we've already read about online, seen on the morning news, or heard on the radio on the way to work.
I swear I get the news so much sooner online thatn I do any other way so it seem pointless to continue to publish the news on paper....especially the sports section.... because if someone cares enough about their game/team...etc. they will have found out what they want to know well before the paper comes out.

Nope. I am an old lefty with much experience in social activism and advocacy -- and I cherish the sports pages for giving me a bit of an escape from the daily grind and for often highlighting little stories of human kindness and nobility.

No way..,I like reading whos doing what and how well in football.Some people read obituaries.,little odd but they do.Some just want to read local news and not national and vise versa.There would be alot of people upset if there was no sports section..,I would and I am a woman.

Not necessarily. If you own a parrot or other caged bird, it comes in handy as a cage liner.
