It is most appropriate after the interviewer is finished asking you their questions. They often will say, "Have any questions about our company?"

At that point you should ask some very normal questions that you should already want to know the answer to.

Such as, what and how is the salary paid. Is there insurance here? How much does this position pay? Is there opportunity to advance.

I hope this helps!

After your interviews when you are offered the job you are given the salary amount this is a starting point for your negotiations, once that salary amount is given you may choose to ask them for a counter offer if you feel the amount is to low. If you are applying for an hourly job I would ask towards the end of the second interview.

I would say either at the end of your interview, or at your second interview. Obviously you are not going to accept a job without knowing the compensation. Good Luck on your job hunt!

Definitely not the first interview.

If they don't bring it up, ask about the responsibilities and duties of the position. Let them talk on and on about them....listing them extensively. Then, ask about the "rewards" for the long list of responsibilities.

Good luck.

After they expressed they want to hire you and when you are talking to HR person for details to put in an offer. Never discuss with the non-HR person.
