Yes I experienced this with my daughter when she was very young - there are a couple of things you could try - water down some prune juice and give her as much as she will take with a bottle or syringe (I ended up with the syringe as she didnt like the taste and I figured any was better than none) this usually worked however if I couldnt get her to take this I bought Coloxyl drops and gave her these. Both of these methods worked for me.. I hope your little one is feeling better really soon.

Brown Sugar? NO.. don't give that baby any more brown sugar go to another doctor and have her checked out to be on the safe side. Prune Juice... Gerber has try a little in her formula. they also say karo syrup helps the bowels. The light not the heavy. Before you do anything of the sort consult a better doctor

What works for my son (believe-it-or-not) is just a little water in his bottle. 1/2 an ounce. I also keep track of his BMs so if he didn't have one today, tomorrow I'll put the half ounce of water in the bottle. Both a nurse and a pediatrician told me to do this, and it works like a charm. And I don't feel bad using water, cause after all, it's only H2O and wont hurt him.
But you might need something stronger at this point, like Karo juice-?
Oh, and it also helps to relax her. My boy relaxes when sucking on a bottle or pacifier. So when he's really gassy I try mostly the paci, and I cradle him in my arms with his legs bent up to his chest. That position makes it easier to open that back passageway, so it should help with a BM as well.
Good luck. Poor little girl...

I had this problem with both of my children. The doctors always told us to use dark karo syrup in a bottle. Since it sounds like your baby is severly constipated use 1/2 ounce of syrup to the bottle. There is also little stool softeners that you can by at walmart made by fleet enema company they are made especially for infants and look like miniature glue sticks. YOu place them up the rectum of the child and squeeze the butt cheeks together for a few to keep from the childs bottom squeezing it out right away. I hope this helps you and your baby

Babies do get constipated. Its okay. If it continues its most likely the formula you're giving her. She might be getting too much iron, that can cause constipation.
If she is not able to have a BM in the next 24 hours you can take her in and they will probably use an enema or suppository on her to relieve the problem.
If it shows up again ask your doctor about changing formulas.

Been there. Try some caro syrup. Just put a couple of table spoons in her bottle.(the clear stuff) That is what I did. It really worked. If it does not improve shortly, see the doctor. Being constipated can be toxic to a baby. Hope she gets better.

My little boy had the same problem. Try Karo syrup (1tsp in the bottle), it softens the stool and makes it easier to pass. A pediatric sized glycerin suppository will work too. My doc finally had to give a Rx for Miralax as he had a on-going problem until he was big enough to eat yogurt. Hang in there. This is a common problem and excuse the pun, but it will pass.

Aww, poor baby. : ( I had the same thing with my daughter after she stopped breastfeeding and started formula. My pediatrician suggested mixing prune juice in her bottle of formula, which I did and it worked like a charm. I don't know about you, but I don't like the idea of giving my baby straight sugar or corn syrup, so prune juice was a better option for me, and mixing it with the formula made it much easier for her to take. I can't imagine giving prune juice to her straight or even diluted...I mean, I certainly wouldn't want to drink that! Good luck, and I hope she feels better soon!

well what my doctors office did was put ky jelly on a long cotton swab and stimulate her ah ( bottom,, but a little more in side the bottom if you know what I mean... ) water .... The thing is you have to figure out what works best for your baby ..... YEAH all mom s have this if your breast feeding it happens ... Its like a change in their bodies.... If your formula ,, it happens too. .. But even putting a little vaselline on the end of the thermometer might do the trick... I did water and putting the baby on his belly SUPERVISED for a few moments .. It gave him the strenght to push it out... CALL DOCTOR IF YOUR NOT GETTING RESULTS >>> YOUR BABY IS IMPORTANT>>> that is what you pay them for to help YOU >>>> make them make you satisfied with her constipation .

I had this same problem with my son. Lots of babies get constipated from iron fortified formulas. My Pedatrician had a us switch to Carnation Good Starts formula and the problem went away because it is much easier for the baby to digest. I wish you the best of luck and hang in there this will pass.
