Iran doesn't want nuclear power. If they did why not take the reactor offered to them by the EU? Why not open their underground bunker to IAEA inspections? They can have nuclear power, it must be transparent. They're refusing to follow the rules.

Using straight rules of fairness, it does seem that if we have nuclear reactors then everyone else should be able to have them too. Unfortunately fair play can not be applied when the other guy has shown a track record for repeatedly breaking the rules. It still seems hypocritical considering we are the only country that has ever used a nuclear device but I don't really want to see Iran with the capability of building one. I trust our leaders not to use such a device again to attack another country. I can't say I have that same trust in other nations.

The U.S. uses nukes for deterrance.
Iran would use them to evaporate Israel and as many Americans as possible.
Korea would sell them to everybody, including Iran, with no concern about how they'd be used.
That is why we oppose certain countries development of nuclear weapons.

The US isn't governed by fanatical Twelever Shi'a who expect that the Hidden Imam will return to rebuild the Caliphate and that this can be delivered by nuking Israel. That should be reason enough.
