A shame that he tried to committ suicide, obviously he's got more problems internally. But here is the real shame. All the Cowboys and Parcells are interested in is if he will play on Sunday. they don't seem to care that the guy is totally messed up and football might be part to blame besides Owens himself. He needs to walk away from the game for a while and get his life back together. He has a long life ahead of him after football. But all the cowboys want to know is if he can play on sunday. Thats the saddest part of the whole thing.

It's obvious to me that Mr. Owens has a mental problem. Probably stemming from something in childhood. He has the need to excessively out perform everyone else. And craves attention. Like a miss behaving child craves attention.
And when that can't happen, depression sets in.
Anyone who is depressed to the point of suicide needs medical attention. I hope him well.

Oh, I'm sorry to be so "cold and heartless" but there just isn't a "downside" to this news. I really enjoy it when bad things happen to bad people. This guy is like Randy Moss or Mike Tyson, a total disgrace to the sporting world, a horrible roll model for kids, and a walking time bomb for anyone stupid or unlucky enough to get mixed up with him.

Save your whining sympathy for the individuals, associates, family members and team mates who have been ruined by these self-centered, over-paid, human wrecking balls that go through life destroying whatever they touch!

My attitude: "couldn't happen to a better man....."

Police: T.O. tried to kill himself

DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after fire rescue personnel arrived.

A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told rescue workers "that he was depressed." The report was first released by WFAA-TV.

The rescue worker "noticed that (his) prescription pain medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said.

The worker attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied. The worker then asked Owens "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, `Yes."'

Who knows. Maybe he's trying to get out of playing the Eagles in Week 5.

It's a conspiracy. He is crying out for that father figure he never had. He could care less about football. He just wants a big hug!

This could've been tragic. Even though many don't like T.O. it's not
right to joke about it.
