Where they ask you what you would like to study, you put education of some type. Some different types include elementary education, intermediate education, physical education. There are many different, so do some research on different majors at different colleges. College websites often have that information readily available. Choose a major you would like and apply to colleges that have that major. You do not have to tell the college what you want to study either. Many students come into college not knowing, so you are actually ahead of the game. I suggest instead that you visit some colleges that have your major, and you should talk with a counsellor at each college to ask how to go about gettiing that major. They will keep a record on file of your interest.

Anyway, I hope that helped!

You need to decide what you want to teach and who you want to teach it to. Elementary Education allows you to teach children before middle school. Usually an Elementary Education teacher teaches all subjects except physical education. Secondary Education (middle school and high school) teachers need to be certified in a particular subject: English, Science, History, etc. If you want to teach physical education, that is something separate. Music education is separate also. On the application be specific about what you want to teach.

If you want ot teach elementary, put elementary education. If you want to teach middle school or high school, put Secondary education with a concentration in the subject you want to teach.

your best bet would be to talk to as many teachers as possible and see what they did. if your school has a guidance counselor maybe they could help you too.

there are different tests you have to take in order to get into colleges, such as the SAT, SAT II, ACT, find out what you need for the colleges you intend to apply to.
