Just bear in mind that Browning's speakers are invariably batshit insane. Anything the Duke says about them is completely distorted. You could get a good bit of milage out of a dramatic monologue in which the Emissary or Fra Pandolf emphasize their desire to get their job done and get the heck away from the Duke. (Who had the previous Duchess murdered if I recall correctly.) At least that's the vague memory I have of the poem from 10 or 12 years ago.
