There is another blue and white pattern that has been around for a long time and is still made...it is called Blue Danube. If you are looking for a type of blue and white dish that was made in England from about 1840 to 1910 you might be looking for Flow Blue. It is a descriptive name given to the blue and cobalt glazed dinnerware of the time and made by dozens of manufacturers in hundreds of different patterns. The name refers to the way the stenciled blue glaze would "flow" into the white causing blurry edges and giving a slight tint to the white part. It is possible to find full sets of flow blue but may take years of searching antique shops and would be extremely expensive. The dishes are so beautiful on their own though that a mismatched set would still be attractive and highly prized.

First off, Congratulations! As the old Chinese proverb says "The height of good taste is the simple appreciation of blue and white".
There are virtually thousands of Blue and White dinnerware patterns out there. Some popular choices would be
Blue Canton (a Chinese Export Porcelain pattern first created during the late 18th century), Nanking (another CEP pattern that was first created in 1770), Fitzhugh, Blue Onion (First made and mastered by Meissen of Germany) and of course the English Blue Willow pattern (and this just a few).
The Willow and Fitzhugh patterns were both created by Spode of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and they created a complete range of dinner service wares and most can still be readily available. Spode also created some Blue and WHite patterns (Blue Italian and Blue Tower), which are very popular and have been manufactured by them non stop since the first half of the 19th century.
Replacements.com is a good source for these wares as well as Ebay (go to "pottery and glass" and enter "fitzhugh" or "Willow" or even blue and white and you will see quite a selection of options).
I hope that this is helpful

if you go to www.replacements.com & you have a good picture or description of the pattern you are referring to, they should be able to identify it & they usually carry replacements for most china sets. My mom's china was destroyed in a fire & I sent them a picture of a piece of it to them & they were able to identify it & give me prices on replacement pieces for insurance pieces.
