Do you get the feeling that the U.S. Government is a match for any in the "third world" and that we citizens are witnessing its slipping into anarchy, or just stupidity. We ARE paying for all this crapola, you know.

DANE has added an interesting point. Al Qaeda WAS unknown until the Bushies began railing against it. An article in the current NewsWeek points out that ALL of the BIG NAMES in it were total unknown minor players until Bush began badmouthing them in his speeches and then his handlers chimed in once the terrain had been established by the "president".

In short, it appears from that article that Al Qaeda's importance exists only because Bush is it is important, and its leaders grew in statue only because Bush gave them "fame".

It is apparent that Clinton did nothing much and Bush is lying.

Who staged 9/11? There is substantial evidence that Israel knew it was coming and said nothing BUT there also is substanital evidence that Israel is behind it and even enabled it with those passports the Mossad stole from New Zealand, altered and then gave to known Muslim terrorists in Indonesia. This, by the way, resulted in New Zealand breaking diplomatic relations w/Israel for 18 months.

Hah, well, they didn't as much lie, as evade questions.

Notice how Rice responds to Clintons "comprehensive plan to combat terrorism" with "there was no comprehensive plan to combat Al Qaida"

And, as we all know, Al Qaida was pretty much unknown before 911... You do the maths about which parties are honest or not.

Bush didn't call Clinton a liar. When asked he said he wouldn't engage in finger pointing. That's a point for him in my opinion. Clinton shouldn't be getting defensive. I mean there's a hole in the middle of Manhattan. It's there. That's a pretty big piece of evidence that not enough was done. Rice took it personally as she was NSA at the time. The whole thing is political BS. No one did enough.

I would tend to believe the Clinton's, Bush and Rice have a real bad record of lying about the war on terror, after all Bush attacked the wrong country. Clinton just blew up a aspirin factory.

Clinton got caught in the hen house sucking eggs like a lying weasel.
Bill lies, and Hillary swears to it.
Who is the biggest liar, Bill or Hillary?
Bill knows he is responsible for 9/11. But he doesn't care.
He had 8 years of fun & games.

While I'm certainly disheartened by all of this, I don't see the U.S. slipping into anarchy or stupid, either. Maybe a little misguided, but it's stressful being on top and the guy everyone looks to for the answers. That's us, whether the rest of the world admits it or not.

Rice has ugly teeth. She is an ugly black woman. What a disgrace to the black people of America. She is also a committed liar. She would defend Bush to the extent of saying that his s.h.i.t doesn't stink. I think she would be wise to buy plastic surgery and a good dental work.

I don't think any of them are really lying. Noone had it in their mind that an attack like 9/11 could really happen. We knew that Osama bin-Laden was a bad guy...but if they knew the extent of the 9/11 damage ahead of time, they would have definitely offed him.

As always, hindsight is 20/20 and it's not fair to judge people for actions they took when we have the pleasure of having all the facts afterwards.

yeah i know we are paying for all the crapola, but everyone knows to be a political leader, you have got to stretch the truth to the people. It's all about who is more convincing.

Bush and Rice are trying to cover something up. The Clintons have nothing to lose.

if Clinton would do the honorable thing, like his predecessors, and stick to fund raising or just get out of the spotlight all together there would be no name calling.
he is such a glory hound and is trying to leave an honorable legacy that he can't keep his mouth shut.
