you need to call your doctor. while some spotting is normal and some women do have their periods though out their pregnancies it is important that you call your Doctor right away and let him/her know exactly what is going on. In the mean time don't panic until you find out what is going on. I had bleeding with my last 2 and everything was OK but they had me come in right away for an ultrasound I was 4weeks along.
good luck.

You dont get a period when you're pregnant. The embryo implants into the uterine lining, therefore its not shed during a menstral cycle. if you're bleeding heavily its beacuse that lining is being shed, and the newly implanted ovum with it.
Light bleeding can sometimes be normal. Spotting is generally okay, but still should be addressed and documented by your doctor.
Your best bet is to call your doctor and go the ER.

you didnt give much info. How far along are you? are you SURE you are pregnant?
If you are really earlier in your pregnancy...it could be "implantation bleeding". It happens when the "baby" is planting itself to the walls of the uterus. It will be much lighter then a normal period and more pink or brown then normal.
You can do a search on the internet for "implantation bleeding" and it will give you waaay more info then i can type her.
Good luck!

It is fairly common to bleed in eary pregnancy but if you are bleeding as heavy as a period then I would call your doctor immediately or go to the er. It is better to be safe than sorry.
