The Heisman is going to go to Troy Smith because the Buckeyes will go to the National Championship and win it. The Heisman always goes the player that is on the best team 90% of the time.

I'd say the top 3 right now are Troy Smith (still), Adrian Peterson, and Steve Slaton.

Smith's chances are hurt if he and Ginn both finish really strong and split votes. Peterson is probably in the best position to win; Slaton might not get as much respect as he deserves because of WVU's schedule.

Brady Quinn is still a possibility just because he plays for Notre Dame.

My pick is Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma. Peterson is easily one of the best players in college it will be hard for him since there is no good quarterback to go with him. If there was a good quarterback then teams would have to worry about Oklahoma's passing game also instead of just putting 9 players in the box to stop the run. That way Peterson would get more production. Go Sooners show the Longhorns who is still the beast of the Big 12!

It's Adrian Peterson of Oklahoma hands down. He is the frontrunner and will be the rest of the season. He had over 200 yards rushing against Oregon. Next Saturday against TEXAS he will have a great game. Big game, big rivalry, he is a big time player. He is the whole Oklahoma team, they go about as far as he goes. He means more to his team than any other player in the nation. Without AP Oklahoma is barely a team worth mentioning in the big xii.

Adrian Peterson is the best player in college football but ESPN seems to be firmly behind Quinn and Troy Smith to win it.
