I think that sounds like a rather unfortunate scenario.
He may never hit a brick wall, it sounds like that's just the way he is.
I feel bad for wife no. 4, but I hope she learns to just let him go, and not to feel bad about it. I hope she learns that she can't change people - no matter how convinced she may have been at one point. People are stubborn.

First off, I think you are exeggerating the number of times he's gotten married or maybe not.
Secondly, I think in my opinion the so called fourth wife has hit the jackpot. The guy has learned and is back on track. Top creadit score just does not come from begged money, you have to have a job and some extra income to pay off your bills on time which suggests that he has his priorities right. As well he not only has a credit to use in your daily Walmart shop but to even buy a Home. Come on guys, we're talikng a house here. Cut him some slack, wouldn't we all wished he was a changed man. Why the negativity then.
I think he's changed and deserves happiness. Too bad the other women were not as patient and ended up dumping him, it had to take woman number four, but it still happened for him.
Human beings all have various learning curves. Unfortunately, his took three prior marriages so what?

Why should he it's worked out in his favor so far he has a great wife a better credit score and a home building equity he has won the lottery and all this doesn't matter to him because the wives have gotten better and better so the next one might just be rich too. Do you see my point at some point you would think Karma would nail him but who knows my situation is similar except now he claims he's done everything on his own and I have not held up my end of the bargain he really doesn't see and your man won't either till were gone but then there will be another schmuck to take our spots there probably already is.

Bad habits die hard...if therapy and counseling are not sought, the reasons or underlying problems will rear their ugly heads and motivate this repetitve behaviour....this man is in serious need of help, period. He has some major insecurities and pathological problems that need to be realized. I, am surmising you are the 4th "victim" and I am sure you have a heart of gold, a good job, you are confident and a successful person on many levels....you have been his prey, though. Give this man an ultimatum...therapy or...out. Get yourself a good lawyer, too. There are so many men (and women, too) out there like that...Either they have a past of cheating, gambling , substance abuse or domestic violence ....and it just snowballs. They are in a never-ending cycle of deception and devastating behaviour. Good luck, you sound strong, though....and smart.

He is not motivated to change, so why should he? He got everything he needs since he was waited hand and foot on. Not all men return to their act because they don't have a good life with the wife, some even when they are. It is a pattern when detected early on, women must avoid because it is nearly impossible for men to change.

he may never change. when he decides to grow up and be an adult and relize that he has been through this 4 times then maybe he will open up. I will not understand why he has a woman who whole heartedly loves him and supports him and he once again s**ts on her. He will keep doing what he is doing.. breaking hearts and hurting woman emotionally. he is a real A**H*LE!

He has a serious pattern of cheating and lying it sounds like, he will never stop unless he gets counseling and really, really wants to quit bad. Even than he will fight this demon all his life because he opened the door to it.

He isn't going to change and that is so sad. He can be a great guy but he never should have gotten married in the first place because he is unable to stay committed.

Probably. You have to figure he has been married 3x. The other women were probably good too. All those failed marriages couldn't have been the other women's fault. I think you failed to take heed to the red flags that were there; the reasons his other marriages failed, lying and cheating. Why would you want to get married to someone with those characteristics? If he did it to them, why wouldn't he do it to you?

Some men are stupid.. I was engaged to someone three years ago who wanted his motorcycle more than me and we broke up. His priorities were in the wrong place...His parents and daughter liked me and I told him he wont do better and I could bet money that he is still single but Ive remarried. He was a fool...
