I'm 33 and did attend college for almost 3 years. I have trouble keeping a job because I have bad anxiety. I can't handle stressful situations well and am not the 'leader' type. I'm preety shy and get nervous around new people. However, I am polite , good looking, articulate, and caring. I work better on a 1 on 1 basis rather than a large group of people. I have very limited computer skills. I am good around animals but am squeamish around blood so I wouldn't make a good vet tech. Please help me with some suggestions! Also, I need to make atleast $8 an hour so no fast food suggestions please!

What did you study in college? It would also help if you gave a background as to the type of work you've done till now which would give me a better idea as to your likes and dislikes. But apart from that, i would suggest that maybe you could be good at insurance, the only thing is that you'd be dealing with new people. I believe you could overcome your nervousness around new people and be a good insurance sales person because you have most of the other qualities required to do this. For example, if i went into an establishment with the aim of buying insurance, i would choose you to deal with because people find it easier to talk to good looking people such as yourself. You say you prefer one to one, well you'd be doing that. Politeness is needed in this industry as well, because it attracts business. Limited computer skills is changeable, do evening courses maybe. Afraid i can't think of anything more. If i do i'll let you know

Why not learn to type? It won't take very long if you practice with typing tutor software like Mavis Beacon for an hour a day within a month you will be able to type at a reasonable speed of 35-45 words per minute. Then you could get a data entry job which would pay OK but you won't have to deal with large volumes of people. Also it might lead to other career opportunities rather than being a "dead end".

Banquet servers here in CA make $12 an hour. Check out a temp agency. They give free computer skills lessons so you can brush up. Trust me, I've had to deal with large crowds before and be a "leader" and I'm tired of it. I'd love a part time job right now where everyone would just leave me alone.

Have you considered networking? It is a great way to earn money working from your own home as your own boss. Ever heard of Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad? He has another book called "The Business School" and he talks a lot about network marketing strategies and getting on the right side of the cash flow quadrant. That's what I did when I started my own business at http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306 that is a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. If you have a big enough dream, you can achieve anything :)
Good luck on your endeavor!
PS: One thing though.....it's NOT a get rich quick business....building a business takes time from 2-6 years...if you're not serious enough, then don't bother with the site. If you are serious and you're willing to work at it....check it out.

Why not work at a Video or Music stores. Most of your work will be one on one...and even though you will be ineteracting with customers...the environment itself...is more more relazing..and easy going. Because it involves entertainment...and not many people will come up to you and ask for too much advice or cause panicky situations!
