Good question, I don't think there's anywhere that tells us how many users there are. I'd be interested to know how many people are online at any given time. Unfortunately I don't think your method will work because not everyone will read it.

I am the !Offender Seeker! and I am on Yahoo all the time.
My interests are hunting down those who come on here to just offend and insult people and I take them out, but you are OK so you don't have to worry.
