It is the fastest game on foot.

lacrosse is a game played by the american indians. it was used to settle disputes and could last for days.

it is the true american sport. (baseball comes from cricket and football from rugby both from the british isles).

many football players play in the spring as a cross-training sport. It has as much contact as in football, and when played correctly, has as much passing as in basketball.

today you can find youth leagues in a lot of places. it is taking a lot of kids away from baseball.

here is the url for more info... http://www.lacrosse.org/

it's a great sport.

On a holiday to Toronto last year, I was informed by a tour guide (i.e. accept no responsibility for accuracy of this information) that Lacrosse is the national sport of Canada (not, as many people guessed, Ice Hockey)! So I guess to answer your questions; Yes, Canada & North America, and Yes (check out www.NLL.com)...!
