The only thing that will truly motivate you is to satisfy yourself that there are some good jobs out there for you. Don't let yourself fall into doing it tomorrow because the time will fly and your search will get harder and harder to do. Start with a good generic resume which can be adapted for specific jobs. Do something each day such as phoneing people you know and asking if they have heard of any jobs in your area of intrest.
Check the local and regional want ads and your local job bank.
As you dig up leads others will follow. Don't be afraid to take a job that is less than ideal as this will motivate you to keep looking. If you wait too long the prospects will appear to grow dimmer and dimmer. Big, small of otherwise get started as it may take awhile depending on where you live.

Are you 18 or over? Have you considered networking? It is a great way to earn money working from your own home as your own boss. Ever heard of Robert Kiyosaki Rich Dad Poor Dad? He has another book called "The Business School" and he talks a lot about network marketing strategies and getting on the right side of the cash flow quadrant. That's what I did when I started my own business at http://www.mywayoutonline.com/ access code 108306 that is a new division of a billion-dollar international company that is listed on the New York Stock exchange. If you have a big enough dream, you can achieve anything :)
Good luck on your endeavor!
PS: One thing though.....it's NOT a get rich quick business....building a business takes time from 2-6 years...if you're not serious enough, then don't bother with the site. If you are serious and you're willing to work at it....check it out.

Regardless of how long you have been out of work, you must get back out there.
But the thing that I find is like selling a home. The longer a house sits on the market, the more someone wonders why it is not sold. Same with a job. Try reinventing your resume. I mean totally.
Also, make your cover letter stand out. Try something different is all I am saying.

Motivation is an internal driver, but you have to decide what it is that motivates you in order to be motivated.
Is it money? Prestige? Power? Respect from your peers? and so on...
Once you have identified what motivates you then you can link you job search to achieving that goal and then you might be motivated.
