i wouldnt call it a remedy, but you can put ice in a bag & lay on it. it will numb the muscles. then after about an hour switch to a heating pad if you have one & continue to rotate.

I suffered from low back pain for a long time, it evetually went all the way up my back. The muscles were VERY tight. I got acupuncture, 2 treatments @ $50 each & I was completely healed! I just wish I would have known about it before I dumped thousadns into all the other crap that didnt work!

Glad you asked that question. I have had that problem for many years and really know how to help. The answer is to do bent knee sit-ups before you get out of bed. This is basically the therapy given by my doctors in the hospitals. It seems that when you strengthen the stomach muscles it helps the back. When I was in a really bad way, the physical therapist placed ice on my back until it was numb and then had me do sit-ups. I know this will help if you make it a regular routine. I can do 100 sit-ups, but only do 50 every morning and night. Start out with about 1/2 what you can do and work up to a comfortable level. Don't lean on the desk or anything like that as that seems to be a cause of the problem in the first place. If you have injury, see your doctor.

Check here a very effective Sciatica Natural Treatment ( http://cure-sciatica.info )
Normally, I would not answer a question like this as my expertise is generally in medication but I had severe sciatica while I was pregnant with my 3rd child (after having had twins) and I had sciatica so bad that I was finding it difficult to walk. I tried massage therapy and physical therapy and could not take medication
I went to the chiropractor and the pain was instantly relieved. My hips and lower back were out of alignment because I had carried twins the year before. On occasion a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) can also work but they usually only work on one joint at a time - the chiropractor will do your whole back which works faster. Anyone who does not believe in chiropractors will tell you they are quacks - don't listen.
I don't necessarily believe that chiropractors can cure things like diabetes but they can definitely relieve some types of back pain especially if a pinched nerve is involved which is usually the cause of sciatica.

Strenghthen your back muscles and they wont hurt as much. try laying on the floor and pulling up your legs to stretch your back out. Helps with the pain. Try going to the chiropractor if you can. Put heat on them or cold. Don't overwork them. I had severe lower back pain most of my childhood because of growing. I couldnt stand and walk more than a half hour without it. but I grew out of it. mostly from working on my feet and strengthening my back that way. When I first started working, oh yeah it hurt. But it got better gradually and now I can stand up all day without any pain.

A spoonful of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water a couple of times a day, plus hot epsom salt baths. A good strong muscle rub could not hurt either, like extra strength Ben Gay.
