NOTHING -- they are immature, spoiled brats who do NOT yet have to take responsibility for their actions because their Parents are paying ALL the bills for their education, so they just WASTE that opportunity --
all the time ruining the college experience by being disruptive in the class, not showing up, making rude and disrespectful comments
Because those who are in College and PAYING it for themselves, because they HAVE to deal with their Adult RESPONSIBILITIES are working hard to AVOID the problems associated with this privileged class of idiots who want to WASTE what they are working for!

You have to look at the starting point.
I was a clean-living youngster long ago - really clean. I once had a friend who used to take me drinking. I never enjoyed it.
From my experience, I do not see that teens need alcohol to cope with stress. Teens are full of life and their energy, spontaneity and creativity help them disperse any negative energy naturally. Adults are not able to do this.
Think about it - if not for alcoholic peer pressure, a teen would just stick to sports, rock‘n'roll and fashion etc. and forgo the alcohol. It's not the drink that makes the man. Your ability to control when you want to drink – is genuinely manly.
Don't get me wrong. I love my beers. The key is - relish it, but don't let it turn you into an @$$hole because society says its cool.

hello, and to answer your drunk queston, i can and willwith expierence on this ssubject, as i am a recovering alcaholic myself with a lot of years in the progrem of alcaholics anynomous behind me.no alcaholic can answer you in a brief way. it is a thing that is,in my opinion a dessperate attempt to escape reality (please excuse the misspelling, ect as this computeris malfunctioning and impossible to backtrack and correct spelling errors ect) any drunk will eventuly tell you he?she doesn,t know themselves the real reason. this is in my opinion why so many fail to recover. if you feel so inclined i will be happy to talk on this subject further. iwould advise you read some of the drunk stories recorded in the aa big book. yourlibrary very likely has one. als you will be able to find lots of info on the web. aa now has it,s own website, regards, houdini- my compositionis better tan this indicates,as i said this computer is malfunctioning

It's a problem isn't it? But it gets a lot of support from fellow drinkers....
Thanks for pointing out it is not reasonable or acceptable ... consider the damage done in homes and lives done by too much drinking.

Actually if you have experienced trauma or depression that is the worst time to go out and get drunk. The only time someone should get drunk is when they are looking to have a good time and have a good head on. Who wants to spend the night with a depressed fellow getting wasted because his wife was cheating on him? That's a recipe for disaster.
I go out to get a buzz on. I do it because it's a good time chilling with my friends, letting loose and dancing.

I find that people who go out to get drunk find it hard to have fun when they r sober ...they can find their inhibitions limiting. They sometimes also get drunk to become numb and escape their reality.
I personally feel no need to get drunk ,,,I like being in control too much ...I don't like to run from my problems ...and I am capable of having fun and acting like an idiot without the assistance of alcohol :)

I imagine in part it's down to the fact that being drunk gives you a chance to forget about your problems (albeit briefly) and act without having to worry about the consequences. Well, not straight away, anyway.

Usually to let loose, forget your troubles and responsibilities for a while. Whilst under the 'influence' people let down their inhabitions and do things they wouldnt normally do... I personally dont see the point in having 'one' drink and when I do decided to drink do have a few..enough to feel relaxed. You?
