A man, divorced, with a kid, (even though he's 27) should be seen as a used car, especially by women who dont have any baggage of their own. I admit, I am the worst kind of ex-wife out there b/cause I tricked the man into this situation. Dont love him, dont want him back. I just cant understand why his new wife is so positive. How she stuck around for so long.
All you second wives out there, and men who have remarried... dont you think you would have been happier without all this drama? I dont think and "used" man can be of any reall use to you second wives cause they're still burned from the first try. I dont think my ex-husband loved me...I sure didnt love him, and I think he just gave me what I wanted to get me off his back. He was probably just too young to see where it would get him. But what was he thinking marrying someone else, and putting her into this situation? Can he even feel real happiness?

Men are a lot like cars, thus the attraction. Your question regarding their useful life relates directly to maintenance. Often a first owner buys for the short term or leases. They often abuse the equipment by lack of maintenance and poor driving. They trade that car in on a new model. Some enthusiast comes along and finds an essentially solid vehicle being neglected on the lot and buys it. They take it home and buff the paint, change the oil, and lube the chassis regularly. They are also aware that when the engine sputters a bit to get it serviced instead of running it around until the engine dies. Rarely does a factory engine have a bad camshaft but boy do they get blamed for a lot of ignition misfires. Often its really a matter of timing without it being the proper distance off dead center. Maybe next time you should do a little better research and test drive before you buy that new car.
But then again the used car market is created by people who become dissatisfied with vehicle which is serviceable with just a bit of love. Sure it may not be so shiny or quick and the seats are worn but it can still be very dependable.

YES as a SECOND wife I am like the positive one..Yes My husband was burned from his first wife, but you see he is the SECOND husband as well I have a child and he has two..But we are perfectly happy together my ex isn't in the picture, but his is and we get along great. We don't like have dinner or anything but we don't fight either.. believe him and I were meant to find each other we have both been through hell from before and here we are just making it fine..we sift through our problems and make sure not to make the same mistakes in this relationship we did before..we are a little jealous since both of our exes cheated on us we are a little skittish about that issue..But I have found true happiness with him and I believe even after you are "used" You can find that real "LOVE" and happiness with someone else...

Why are you angry at him for being happy? Of course he can feel real happiness. All people can. What reason would he not be able to feel real happiness? Because your relationship with him went sour? That's just an ego trip.

No person is a used car. Children are a blessing and there are many, many children who were born to single parents or whose parents marriage didn't work. So what? Because the volume of people with kids is so high, nobody really views them as damaged goods anymore.

Of course people would have been happier without the drama of previous marriages, but it isn't worth forgoing the person that you love just to rid yourself of that drama. His new wife is happy because she loves him and if I were you I would not concern myself with it at all. Move on.

Your damn right he feels happiness and so does she..

My husband and i are extremely happy, and the more she (his x wife ) acts like a complete idiot the more we laugh at her and how stupid she is..

My husbands x , tricked him into marrying her as well.. he tricked her by saying she was pg, so he asked her to marry him to do the right thing although all she was to him was a PORT IN THE STORM so to speak.. but because of his child he wanted to do the nobel thing and tried his butt of to be a dutiful husband and TRIED to love his now x wife when they were married, for the sake of their child.. but he never did really Love her no matter how hard he tried, although he stuck it out for the sake of his children.. just to have her turn and leave him and rip his child from him.. He hates her now, even though he's civil to her because of his children..

And u know what, She can cause all the drama she wants , because HE LOVES ME.. he loves me in away she never had with him.. he didnt marry me cause he was tricked, he married me cause he actually loves me..

Your husband and his wife are very happy, and the more drama u cause the closer ur pushing them together and the more he's realizing how thankful he's not married to u anymore and how thankful he is to have his now wife..

I am the 3rd Mrs. in my husbands life. As for him being seen as a used car, yes and no. Yes he has been through alot with his ex wives, and yes he did get burnt, but he finally met someone (me) that knows how to take care of a used car. I change his oil, and I do maintainance every 2000 miles, I make sure he has new tires and I make sure he is detailed EVERY day. He is also garage kept and he is washed and waxed every day. He may be a used car but I get to drive him now. I am sure if his previous owners were anything like you, he would have went to the junk yard a long time ago.

Sounds to me that you are jealous as hell. I am sorry but you sound like a true *****! That is what is wrong with men today...They get screwed over by women like you and it ends up hurting all of their future relationships....Just because you were miserable what gives you any right to make them just as miserable? My husband and I have a dear friend who is divorced and his ex wife put the screws to him and is still doing so 8 yrs later. Why not let him live his life and not worry about who he is married to? You didn't want him and you did him a favor by divorcing him. LET IT GO and I suggest that you don't enter into another relationship until you are mature enough to wrap your head around what marriage is all about.

Maybe she is a better match for him. Of course every woman wants to think she was the best wife or girlfriend an ex had but the simple truth is that not everyone is meant for the other. You could be absolutely perfect, another man's dream woman. I wouldn't stress about your ex & his new wife. You can find the right guy for you.

I have to agree with the others, you sound bitter and like you are still in love with your ex even though you deny it.

Happiness comes from within, you can't look to others to make you happy. If you do, happiness will always elude you.

Get some help from a professional, deal with your past issues, and move forward with your own life. As long as you are stuck in your present state of mind the bitterness you expressed in your post will only grow.

you sound a little bitter. I'm not really qualified to deal with this kind of insecurity so he didn't love you thats ok you didn't love him either and sure she probably should have jumped off the old band wagon ex wives are tough to handle especialy bitter one but she didn't so looks like the only one unhappy here is you try therapy or a nice hobby dear and remember YOU ARE OK SNOOKIE

Disagree. I don't think it is as cut and dry as you think.

It depends on the people. It's a whole lot about attitude...positive attitude that is. All marriages have their problems and have to be worked on by both partners. It's a lot of give and take.

P.S. Maybe his new wife actually loves him and cares about his child's wellbeing. Why would you marry someone that you never loved anyway?
