I heard he took 35 pills, which suggests an OD, but he has since denied those reports.
The more important question is, who will I start as my third WR this week?

the guy is a professional football player. he has suffered many injuries (broken leg) that have required pain medication. why all the sudden would he now have an allergic reaction? I honestly think he overdosed. i read his book, just to give him the benefit of the doubt and i would have never thought that he would be the type to attempt suicide. but then again, i don't know him personally. a report this afternoon stated that there are 35 pills unaccounted for in the bottle and he admitted to taking 5. I think it all a publicity stunt. he's trying to make people feel sorry for him. people who really want to die, do. he called for help.

Police: T.O. tried to kill himself
By JAIME ARON, AP Sports Writer
September 27, 2006
DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after fire rescue personnel arrived.
A Dallas police report released Wednesday morning said Owens told rescue workers "that he was depressed." The report was first released by WFAA-TV.
The rescue worker "noticed that (his) prescription pain medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said.
The worker attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied. The worker then asked Owens "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, `Yes."'

The report I heard on the radio said he was having a reaction to the pain reliever medication he has been taking to relieve the pain from the broken finger bone. Not an uncommon event.

whoever said he is doing this to get out of playing and that he fakes injuries so he doesnt have to play obviously knows nothing about football
he risked his whole career by playing in the superbowl when doctors told him it would be too soon and that it would put his career in jeopardy.
in my opinion we may never know the truth because there are to many loose ends.
he has never really been a favorite player of mine but i have always respected his talent and even though he does induce some of the scrutiny he gets, he doesn't deserve as much as he gets

Truthfully, Who cares. He is a spoiled rich boy who is looking for attention. He has the world at his fingertips and is blowing it. He is letting the Hall of Fame slip right through his fingers. He is one of the greats in talent and the NFL should stand up to him and his antics. He is lucky Dallas took another chance on him.

I heard the doctors were replaying ESPN clips showing to bad-mouthing Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb from last year.
Having seen those clips myself, I am thinking to was vomiting like a champ as they made me sick to my stomach.
Besides, as a Terry Glenn owner in Fantasy Football, to should sit this week and a few more to heal his wittle-pinger.

They don't induce vomiting for an allergic reaction. It was definitely an overdose if they were inducing vomiting. They induce vomiting to get the drugs that are in your stomach out so that they do not absorb.

they didn't induce vomiting, they didn't pump his stomach, he practiced for 3 hours, talked to kids, did an interview, his hand hurt and he was tired, he took 2 painkillers and fell asleep, his p.r. woman over reacted and called 911. Also, from personal experience painkillers and certain herbal supplements can make you sick and more incoherent than the painkillers alone
