yeah actually they do. most turn into vapors like that guy above me said, but i remember learning in my chem class that mercury and some metals have such high boiling points that its hardly seen happening.

Yes metals boil. Some exist as single atoms in the gas phase. Others, such as Potassium dimerise.

no metals do not evaporate they just melt into a slurry coz their boiling point is too high if u find that metal has evaporated just tell me

Yes, they do in fact enter a vapor phase. It's most useful in 'vapor phase deposition' of various metals on other materials and in integrated circuit manufacturing.

yes they do evaporize. but the temperature is very high for transition metals. sodium vapour is used in the street lights, mercury vapours as well.
