Michael is not staying. Meaning not racing F1 any longer. However, he did a lot for Ferrari in the last 10 yrs. Ferrari did a lot for him (gave him the best car and a lot of $$$), so it would be stupid for both parties to terminate the relationship. They will be contractually together for several years. In what function? Nobody knows. I think even Micheal doesn't know, yet. We shall see at the end of the season. As far as F1 racing, Schumi is ending on a high note whether he wins the 8th title or not. Nobody can deny he has been the greatest, even if you hate him. But he is slowly getting cooked and burned by the arrogance, cockiness and aggressivness of the new rascal drivers, who eventually will beat him (you will see in the future besides the Alonsos, also the Kubicas, the Hamiltons, the Kovalainens, the Piquets Jr, etc.)

Schumacher is staying with Ferrari for the next few years in the paddock though not on the race track, I hopehe stays in Formula 1 for the coming years.

hey, i really do not think that Schumi needs to stay with Ferrari any longer ... i think he has had his fair share in F1 and he should now give other talents the chance to have the spot light and to sparkle... if he continues any longer, and, does not stay in form, it will be his loss... he will be humiliated .... so its a right decision to retire when he is in good form :)

Schumacher is retiring from driving but not from the sport. I think he will be involved in a Ross Braun type of position with his expertise and knowledge of the circuits and strategies. He will not be far away from the track!

I do. He's been, like, one of THE best racers since Ayrton Senna... and he even cried when he was asked how he felt about him... He should definately race for Ferrari for at least a year.
