All we need to do is look at history in the last century to see the benefits of a country having eliminated religion. Between Russia, China, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba, etc. - all atheist countries - the death toll within the countries (not from fighting anyone else) was 180 million. Plus hundreds of thousands of more tortured, imprisoned, ensalved, reduced to poverty, exiled, etc.

Compare to the worst religious wars, the 600 years of Crusades. That left only about 40 million dead. The highest toll being the in the 11th century, with about 9.9 million Muslim, Jews and Catholics dead.

So the elimination of religious managed to get a almost a 20:1 kill ratio victory over the worst religion could do.

I do not believe that by wishing away religions, we can achieve peace and good neighbourliness among the countries. Man seems to have genetic condition craving for war for one reason or the the other. No doubt, much of the hatred among the nationalities is due to religious bigotry. That is because man practises wrong religion. Bigotry and indoctrination are scourge of the society. People need to realise and be taught that there cannot be a uniformity of faith and practises in matter of religion, and we need to accept the fact that the human society is diverse in terms of its geography, history and ethnicity. Patience and tolerance should inculcated in all of us. Extolling our own virtues to the exclusion of others' virtues will breed more hatred and wars.

World with religions will look like a beautiful person with ornaments only when the religions are used to link the humanity with divinity. But if the religions are used for power, the world appears like a person with multiple wounds

Borders represent the mental reservations of the group of people residing in the particular piece of the earth. It is a security against another group usurping the land. so borders cannot done away with as minds cannot bechanged. Asfar as religion is concerned it is another fraudulent way of men to retain power. Tru religion is acceptance of one God who looks after every one.

nice thought but then men are corrupted there was once a time which you have talked about but v are guided by desires , we are bound to create walls of indifferences , a world without religion would be good for there would be no more disagreement between various communalistic approaches. but a world without borders would make it a tough place to live , for there would always be someone who would want to rule and having borders helps , we have varied races varied cultures . imagine being ruled by a despot. nayyyyy each country is good and they are doing good in their own sphere

Are you an anarchist?
The world would be dull, yet peaceful......cannot image such a world, considering everything we have comes from religion and politics. Our culture and law stems from the ethics of religion.
