The only answer I can come up with is Alcohol.
-Polar bears in comercials for beer
-Makes you cry (spend some time in a bar with a depressed buddy, you'll see what I'm talking about)
-Celebritys (Mel Gibson as a recent example)
-Ordinary people (again, the bar scenerio around closing time)
-Pancakes, brown from the sugar(?)
-Champane bubbles from the C02 caused by fermentation
-Squeeze a can of beer hard enough it will pop
-Look, is it my turn to stand (buy or 'pop' for) the round?
OK, I'll admit some of them are a reach, but most of the reasons fit.
