I am about to purchase a larger monitor than my current 17 inch CRT monitor. I would like to change to a 19 or 20 inch LCD. The main use would be for photo editing using adobe photoshop CS and video editing using Adobe elements

Well the monitiors that I use with my Mac G5 are from Sams Club. I bought the Samsung Sync Master916v. I set them as a Dual Display setup side by side and they work GREAT. To my knowledge they were less then $300.00 each. Plus they come with a full 1 year return policy from Sams not including the warranty from Samsung..

I'll be much smarter in a few weeks, but you asked it now :-)
If UPS will stop being jerks I'll be picking up my Samsung 204BW 20" tomorrow, to use as the working monitor for editing a feature film. So it'd better be good...
It has good resolution, wide screen (which I love, plus works great for HD/film footage), I've had positive experience with Samsung in the past, and it's a mere $290 at newegg.com.
