I would not mind the current high taxes if I received something in return, but as it is I am one of those idiots that saves for the future and as such when ever I need help will be stiffed by the means tests that this government has introduced. Be it unemployment benefit NOT, Prescriptions NOT, Pensions NOT, Care in old age NOT. Why save when you will only end up no better off, or even worse off, than the waster next to you who choose to spend theirs instead.

Tax will always be too high. Since the dawn of taxes everyone has complained about the level. Think about it do you ever remeber someone saying "taxes ooh yeh just about right!".

yes i get paid minimum wage because I'm a trainee, but an eighth of my income goes on tax. you get taxed on everything including Tampax and condoms which for some reason does appear to come under the heading of an essential.

It is a privilege and an honour to pay taxes. It makes you part of the wider community. Are you not happy to be paying for the services you share with your fellow citizens ? WIth freedom comes responsibility. Do not shirk the burden.

Yes, tax payers are under extreme pressure because we have to pay for massive fraud that the Labour government are incapable of dealing with. Sadly it's equivalent to dozens of new schools and hospitals.

Think you'll find it is the tory's who charge the most tax on wages,and wasnt it them who made VAT 17and1/2%.
