Because women are programmed to look after kids and that involves lots of multitasking. Men can do it, just not so easily.

Men are usually well looked after by women all their lives so dont need to learn to multitask,first their mothers and then they get wives, so those that can multitask either dont have mums or wives to look after them,or have married bossy dragons!!!

Eons of history, men hunted women foraged and raised the kids. Today Men get together and watch a game ,don't talk much and have a good time, women get in a group and talk and talk.
Long ago Men had to learn that to hunt successfully they needed to focus and be quiet, women could pick berries and chatter and also take on the home duties.More task meant development to "multi task". It is how we are wired to be.

This is not true. Women have seized upon this old myth to show there is something they can do better than men. Studies have shown that there is no discernible difference in multi tasking skills between men and women, regardless of age.
It comes from the same mentality that men use when saying that women are bad drivers - it is untrue.

Well they think they can, but thinking about sex and making a cup of tea at the same time isn't really multitasking is it.

Different Wiring. Especially involving the speech snd communication centres. If you are asking really, why cant men hold a conversation whilst doing something else (that requires concentration) well, simply put, we cant. Communicating is difficult for us poor slobs.
We make up for it in other ways. Our spatial awareness, ability to project into 3 dimensions, and sense of direction is superior to (you) ladies.
We're equal, but different!!

Why can't women stop talking? I am currently asnwering you, installing software, having a drink and picking my nose! I can also go into the steamroon at my gym and sit there in silence, pity none of the women that come in can do the same!

I couldn't go into heaps of detail here, but there are now suggestions that cognitive differences between men and women are possibly down to a combination of brain structure and neurochemicals/hormones.

I spend all my working day Multi-tasking and if I am not doing more than one thing I get bored very quickly.
At the moment I am cooking food for err-indoors for when she comes home,and I am Ironing as well as replying to Q.A.getting rid of the idiots who insult people on-line.
