I know that some people are lazy and this is a quick and easy option.
I know some people have tried in vain to research and have not come up with what they want so they try a bigger audience two heads are better than one.
I know some people are torn between the answer they think and they try here and try out everyone the one with the most wins.
I actually liken it to Who Want To Be A Millionaire you can have 50/50 phone a friend or ask the audience. Think about it so yes some are lazy others are using their brain.

I've seen a few, but I ask questions to make other people think and find out what they think, and the questions I ask aren't researchable--there isn't a correct answer to find, I just want to know what other peoples' answers are--those are the kind of questions I prefer to answer as well. Besides, asking other people for input is a source for research, and you can't be sure this is the only source they have tried, and I have seen many answers that are just a link to a site where the querants can find the answers for themselves

No, because where do people get their answers from? A collective of ideas... so in a sense, all you know comes from other people, but that doesn't necessarily mean you are too lazy to research. In fact asking people is a form of research... as is reading, as is talking to people... Now the question that remains is, where did any information to be researched come from at all?

No, first people ask question to get either to acess a diferent dimension of their concern, to involve other views or to explore how a certain idea is percived by others. Research is all about the production and consumption of meanings. Thus as a researchers we are meaning consumers and producers and this can not be done without asking.

"Yes ramsmenon! I believe your question and answer are pretty accurate about many folks on yahooanswers.
Regarding my questions on answers, I already had my answers, but, wanted to find out how many people agreed with me. My questions were pretty comprehensive subjects purposely asked to get credible solutions to complex questions. Many answers were not credible to me and I had to chose favorites from a long list of incomplete or uninformed attempts. Of course, the best proof of lame questions is the fact many askers can't construct adequate sentences, capitalize, punctuate or use inflection. It's a sad reflection of our school system and we, on answers, just have to bear it in anguish at the dissociative and convoluted constructs."

Not always. I mean, I think some of the kids on here trying to get their homework done for them-they r pretty lazy. Most of us (I think) just look for the human connection this forum gives. I think it's human to share what you know or to help when you can,

Certainly NO!

We are all learning. If you don't ask questions, (sensible ones), you will NEVER know for life. You have asked this question yourself because you don't know and you want to know.

What is the research in your question? This is an educative site where we share opinions, gather experience and learn more.

In my 26 years of life i've learned that sometimes no amount of research that you do yourself can beat the opinions/advice and experience of other people.

Somethings you just can't find on the internet or in a book.
