hmm don't think it is possible to predict the price of gold tomorrow let alone in 2/3 months time you will just have to keep an eye on the price between now and then.

This can be forecast. There is a (fairly) simple recurring pattern which can be found in commodities / stock values. I am not a trader and do not work in finance of any kind. You should do a little digging to find out about "Fibonacci numbers" (I think that's the correct spelling). The 'net is a good source, and I know there have been relevant articles in New Scientist. If this sort of thing interests you in general, "The Downturn" by Bob Beckman is a good book to get hold of.
