Schumi's advantage is the momentum that he and Ferrari have now. At the beginning of the season Renault was at 95% while the other contenders were at 70%. Now they are all at 98%. very close, but the last few races gave that momentum to Ferrari and Schumi. Although he is 2 pts behind, he is the favorite to win the title. Forget about penalties and FIA, it went the other way around as well. Remember when teams are basically equal in points and performance (the 98%), tyres are the determining factor. And if it rains in China on Sunday????? All forecasts and predictions go to heck. Although Michael is the rain king, Ferrari's Bridgestone rain tyres have demonstrated to be subpar this season. So, everything can happen, but the magic ball still says Michael. And if the magic ball is wrong? Yell at the Greek gods, or at the Roman gods, or at the Maranello gods, or just enjoy the next three fantastic races and the surrounding enigma, controversy, and the last thrills of the greatest F1 driver of all times!!!

it will be fun to watch a 7 time world champion and a new and young driver who has won the F1 Championship only once to battle for the title this year ... Alonso is fuelled up with all the encouragment he could get to win the title after what happened at monza and at the same time, Ferrari's Schumi is equally motivated to clinch the trophy of the F1 championship since it would be his last season in F1 racing. i personally think that Schumi's experience will help him out a lot so good luck to both of them :)

Schumi might win, but they said that he has bad luck at the Chinese Circuit, so Alonso might win.

Schumi's a great driver. I think he should win. Fernando's good and all, but not as good as Schumi. There's no way that'll happen in the near future.

Schumacher will win it but it will be close, and a little note for Alonso - quoting Colin Chapman about technology being banned, stick to the rule and what about Ferrari's flex wing being banned at start of season with no notice. Renault were main complainants then. What goes around comes around.

Schumi... Alonso hasn't done good since he'd lost the shock-stop-things (don't know how you call this in English) in his wings!

in my view, i'd not favor to work out Renault win. the reason of it truly is they protested about the quantity of finding out that changed into done, and they did no longer have the money to compete. only after whinging, Renault were entering into the route of prevailing the championship. Renault then proceeded to purpose extra, and that i trust it truly is hypocritical. also, it looks Renault were those extra keen to make the engines very last 2 races, as this changed into an important hurdle for them to conquer in the experience that they had to race and WIN. On good of that, they presented an unlawful section for his or her motor vehicle. This changed into only detected, and deemed unlawful very few races in the past. this suggests Renault have had a huge income through the three hundred and sixty 5 days through creating use of this gadget. IMHO, it really is somewhat hypocritical to sentence something, then do it your self. also to assert because you do not have the money for to race competitively in F1 (it somewhat is the optimal racing class) and make human beings agree on your budgetary criteria. You all idea Micheal and Ferrari were cheats, at the same time as they'd nicely be, does all this through Renault, contained in the superb 3 years or so, no longer instruct they are larger cheats. flow anybody yet Renault, it would also be sturdy to work out Button win again.

If you have any money and if they will take a bet at this stage of the season, run (dont walk) to Paddy Power, William Hill or Ladbrokes and put it on Michael Schumacher; he's now a sure bet to win the world driving title.

Schumacher

Even if he fails to beat Fernando Alonso to the Formula One title, Michael Schumacher remains in a world of his own when it comes to global popularity.

I vote for Alonso but I think it'll be Schumacher. Renault have got to pick things up as Ferrari are performing better at the moment.

I really pray that Alonso wins. He deserves it, MS has been helped by the FIA to retire in "dignity", but this can't be called "dignity" any more.
Even if he wins the WDC, he'll retire in shame. He DOESN'T DESERVE IT!!!

The MD ban was given at the worst moment. Just think at something said by one of the pioneers of today's F1 technology: he said that if the leaders of the sport want to ban some developments, they should notify everyone in advance, months in advance. (Colin Chapman said this)
Plus that penalty in Italy was totally undeserved. Massa should have been penalised for being a crybaby.

Alonso is the real winner of the WDC and everyone knows that.
