double click on mycomputer
click on local disk c:
then right click on local disk c: and select properties
then click on Disk Cleanup (avilable 3rd line from bottom)
then delete all temporoary files
delete all temporoary internet files/cookies etc
run scandisk
defrag your harddisk
do the above for all your hard disks
then click on start
click on programs
click on startup
and delete all the items in start up (select items in startup then right click and delete)
chek there is any antivirus program that automatically loads when u start, if so disable and u only run periodically
search for *.tmp files on ur hard disk and delete them
click on start - programs - administrative tools and see each option and clear what ever is not required.
if none of the above works,
take a backup of your data
then re-format your system
then reinstall your software
then copy back your data
if the above also does not solve your problem
then upgrade ram
upgrade processor
upgrade harddisk
if all of the above does not solve ur problem then sell ur PC to me for Rs. 10 (INR - Indian Rupee) or throw it outside of your window.
