The best gift I give is stock in a certain company. There are many out there with only a minimum of $50 to start up & no broker. You simply buy directly from the company!! It is a gift that grows and helps people get into watching their finances more if they don't already do so.

Of course there will be those who don't appreciate anything you would give them, so those people should just get a bag of coal!

We have some cool gifts at The Hot Tees. We'll even customize something if you want it. Just go to the custom requests section and follow the link to our blog. We have a page set up so that you can leave requests in the comments and we'll do our best. We have some His and Hers designs that will be coming out within the next few days. Those designs would be perfect on boxers and thongs for that someone special. ;)

A couple suggestions...

One would be a personalized calendar... take photos from the past (family, friends, etc) and spread them out over 12 months. Definitely shares a lot memories...

Another would be a personalized CD... you pick the music, create the label, etc. Very individualized... My company sent out a Christmas CD with each staff member's two favorite songs. This was a HUGE hit... we did variety of old stuff, modern, Christian and rock.

The main thing is that the gift connect you to them...

A great dinner at a very special restaurant. Like maybe a wild-life dinner if they like game. Or something super fancy. Or a big ole' cook out with the best of everything. Or passes to a spa/massuese.

Make something yourself! I knit, and everyone knows they'll get a hat or a scarf from me every year in colors they like. If knitting's a bit too crazy, there are lots of less work-heavy options (though knitting a scarf can be done in a day or two...). Go down to your local craft store and ask the people who work there--most also have classes.

Put all the money you plan on spending for these people and donate it to Heifer International or help end world hunger and poverty. Heifer Int'l. will buy a goat, or some chickens, or even a cow in your name (or whoever you choose) and this animal will be given to a family to learn to sustain themselves. Go read up about them and tell me this isn't the best gift to give someone?!

Yes, give them something that relates to the true meaning of Christmas.
That we honor that day/time for the Birth of Jesus Christ.
Its what he eventually gave to us that is so important.
His death on the cross paid our sin debt.

We need to pass that thought on to others- not just a personal gift you want to give but what Christ gave to us-free gift of salvation.

Instead of giving a physical present, promise to baby sit, or clean the house, or do the dishes for so many times. Donate your time or the money that you would have spent to their favourite charity and have the charity send a card to them saying so. I once gave my couson 6 free hours of babysitting and she said it was the best present of all.
