When you say you have been "reading your stars". Do you mean reading in magazines fortune telling based on your Sun sign? If you do, then you are not actually reading serious astrology. You are referring to populist sun-sign astrology which, by its very definition, cannot work! It's basis is sun-centred, we however, live on earth, not the sun! It is a modern invention and often wish someone would give it another name not linked to astrology!

It must be emphasised that serious astrology is both a science and an art; an ancient language of communication and has absolutely nothing to do with fortune telling, spiritualism, clairvoyance, psychism, mediumship, or any other divination. There have throughout the ages always been charlatans for popular consumption and today's are The Sun-Sign Column Astrologers.

For a personal astrological analysis you must take the date, time and location of your birth and from that data erect a horoscope (literally: hour of birth). You then have a snapshot in time of the heavens at the very moment of your appearance here on EARTH. This is your unique horoscope, a sort of blueprint that is unique and individual to you. Applying certain techniques such as progressions, transits, solar/lunar returns, to your individual horoscope reveals planetary cycles throughout time (over your life). In Astrology, these planetary cycles represent a rich symbolic language that can be interpreted by a skilled astrologer to show POTENTIAL possibilities. Potential is the key word here, because the future cannot be predicted! The meanings of the planets and their interrelationships within our horoscope show us beneficial and not so beneficial periods in our lives. Which might be a good or not so good time for specific actions. That is the extent to which astrology can predict!

Go to http://www.astrodienst.com and key in your birthdata. Computers have enabled the calculation of a horoscope to be done immediately instead of in days. You can see your own individual horoscope and its interpretation. You can print it out for further study. Find out as much as you can about your chart and I guarantee you will be totally amazed how much more you understand yourself.

By the way, the saying Many Happy Returns is a reference to the Solar Return, when the sun returns to the same position in the sky as it was when you were born. We use a lot of astrology in our daily lives without knowing!

Many Happy Returns!

I'm making good profit with penny stock. Check here http://trade-pennystock.checkhere.info

Many new investors are lured to the appeal of a penny stock due to the low price and potential for rapid growth which may be as high as several hundred percent in a few days. Similarly, severe loss can occur and many penny stocks lose all of their value in the long term. Accordingly, the SEC warns that penny stocks are high risk investments and new investors should be aware of the risks involved but you can even make very big money. These risks include limited liquidity, lack of financial reporting, and fraud. A penny stock is a common stock that trades for less than $5 a share. While penny stocks generally are quoted over-the-counter, such as on the OTC Bulletin Board or in the Pink Sheets, they may also trade on securities exchanges, including foreign securities exchanges. In addition, penny stocks include the securities of certain private companies with no active trading market. Although a penny stock is said to be "thinly traded," share volumes traded daily can be in the hundreds of millions for a sub-penny stock. Legitimate information on penny stock companies can be difficult to find and a stock can be easily manipulated.

I don't take them too seriously as they are only based on one's suns sign, not an exact natal chart.I'm a virgo with scorpio rising, and I read for both signs, usually one fits more than the other at different times, and on occasion both have fit quite erriely. My best bet would be to check out some astrology sites that offer free daily horoscopes based on your entire natal chart not just your sun sign. Those to me have been the most dead on.

It depends on the situation. The Bible says, "Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour." Proverbs 14:9 I think the principle is that we should not make light of something that is very wrong. I'll admit, I'll look at the horoscope out of curiosity, usually to laugh at how general the predictions are, but if you were actually going there for life's answers, that would be wrong.

I don't sit there going: "Hey this will happen to me today", because most of the time when I actually read it, it is late at night and the stuff has already happen to me. But not all the time, it really depends which one you read. And sometimes for that specific days horoscope it describes to me what has happened the previous day, not what has actually happened that day itself.

I read mine, but I've only found one astrologer that seems to hit the mark for me more than anyone else.

She has a website eugenialast.com

She also does the horoscopes for the Baltimore Sun.

I don't take them seriously. They are rarely correct.

I only use them to confirm my sanity - they help me understand a little bit of myself and how I react to the world around me.

I'm a Leo but find that the Virgo daily readings in the paper are often closer to my own - Virgo is my rising sign.

Not many astrology reports are very accurate - but the ones I use are consistently very very good. See sources below.

I had this discusion with a work colleague this morning.
She always reads her horoscope, so I looked up her date of birth against the internet movie database, hoping to find a successful actress to taunt her with :-)

Now, this work colleague is a straight-laced, moral, upright, married mother of 1.............she was born the exact same day as a porn actress who has starred in over 70 odd movies.

she's not so keen on her horoscope now :-)

I tend not to put too much stock in something that tells me "Something good may or may not happen, but something bad may or may not happen as well." Even if it was more detailed/accurate I probably wouldnt read it, because if I knew what was going to happen that day, it wouldn't be a surprise, and then what would be the point in even living?

I do read my horoscope once in awhile for entertainment mostly but I have had it be on track for the most part on a couple of occasions. I thought it was neat. I don't live by it though. To me, it's all for fun. God Bless!!
