There is no choosing here at all, Wolverine is the best Marvel character ever.
Even in the Age of Apocalypse stories when he's lost a hand because of Cyclops optic blast, Wolverine stabbed out one of his eyes for god sake.
Wolverine = Anti hero, rough rouge with nothing to prove and no-one to fear, Adamantium laced skeleton, heightened senses, moments of kindness as a father figure, moments of madness with his feral berserker rages and if you've ever read the What If hulk had killed Wolverine story you'd know that the whole Marvel world goes to pot with out him.
Cyclops = Goody two shoes (which isn't a bad thing) with a leadership complex, basically a prick. So in the words of Stan "the man" Lee, nuff said.

Wolverine, he's more bad ***, always looked better than cyclops in the comics and how cool is the whole blades from the knuckles and by the way if you hurt me I'm gonna heal in seconds anyway, wolverine rules.
On a girlie note, if you're talking about the films, still wolverine, Hugh Jackman is hot.

Ok if I had to chose between these two it would be wolverine. Wolverine is an overused overexposed character but at least he has a background and a well fleshed out personality.
Cyclops is just a one-dimensional yes-man who bends over for professor xavier. He has no personality and is probably the most unoriginal character in marvel.
Wolverine is the better character, but the best character in marvel that is so well done that he is truly on a par with classic literature is Dr. Doom.

Wolverine. I doubt anyone prefers that boring good-boy Cyclops, except apparently Jean and Emma Frost.
Look in the dictionary under one-dimensional character and there is a picture of cyclops. (Sorry I love the X men but cyclops really irritates me,)
