Obtain an attorney... I believe they will post a 30 day notice in the paper with your intentions to divorce. If your spouse doesn't respond, you are clear to file for an uncontested divorce.

File for the divorce. Send the complaint and all other documents to the last known address. If you receive no response, you can do a Notice by Publication (local paper). After a few weeks with no response you can receive your divorce without ever hearing from the other party.

Well here in The state of Vermont you file and then run an add in the local papers, you must run the add a certain amount of times and are required to put certain information in the add. I am not sure what it is suppose to say that you will need to get from th clerk at the court house. You do not need a lawyer to get a divorce this way and all you need to pay for is the filing fee and the add.
My oldest brothers wife divorced him this way she was in Vermont and he was in Michigan.
~Best of Luck to you~

First step is get an attorney. In the state of Ohio they have a deal where you post your intentions in the newspaper for so many days. If there is no answer you recieve the divorce. However u really should consult an attorney.
Good luck!

Hire an attorney. Notice to the spouse can be published in a paper as outlined by law.

I do believe you can still divorce him.No longer do both parties have to agree or even be there.15 years ago I went for a divorce and he said he wouldnt let me have 1 but that didnt stop a thing. The laws are different today. What the heck anyways you cant find him?Thats a good reason for divorce right there.

Call a lawyer its called "abandonment". I think it depends on how long they've been missing. The only thing they do to locate them is look in their last known address and put a notice in the paper. I think it takes a couple of months before they proceed. You can divorce him, even if you never see him again.

You will need an attorney and file on the grounds of abandonment. It takes time, you have to proove you attempted to find and contact the other person but it can be done.
