Can you get pure maple syrup in Hungary?

I am traveling to hungary and would like to bring little gifts of Canadian Maple syrup. Is this a good idea?

I think you could get it but it would be unusual to find. Your idea is great and I think they would love it.

Check import regulations. Not all types of food (or liquids) can be imported or even transported by plane.
