It's not about feeling 'good', or having some earth moving experience - so it seems -

it's about believing that some kind of system works to reduce or eliminate vulgar, innapropriate, entries - that are meant to 'shock' or incite negative emotions in the participants.

Is what you describe YOUR result? from publishing reportable entries?

It upsets me that I would have to report someone. The only times I have ever reported was when I thought that the rhetoric was particularly hateful. I'm sorry, but that stuff just doesn't fly with me.

Colorado: How do you know who is doing the majority of the reporting? Do you have stats to back it up? When you report someone you remain anonymous, so how do you know that the Liberals are doing the reporting? Leave it up to a Conservative to start claiming something without any facts to prove it.

It seems the self appointed thought police on here do get enjoyment out of reporting people. I have to agree it is the leftist propaganda machine who is constantly trying to get conservative speech banned via the violation report button.

Probably makes them feel as good as yahoo answers make them feel. Some people are unable to realize that this is just for fun and feel the need to report people for things they dont like. I have been reported several times for hate spewing or whatever you want to call it.Usually by a conservative freak, who cant take it, but boy can they dish out, usually in email though.

I think reporting someone is like watching something on TV you don't like and then insisting that they stop showing it altogether.
Change the channel or go to another question for God's sake!

I've never reported anyone but I think it necessary. This is a good site and the people who enjoy it should not be subjected to asinine, offensive people just spewing their perversions.

Not for me no, I have only reported something a couple of times & that was because they were being very hurtful & nasty in their answers to someone & someone that has been repeatedly spaming/advertising here.

I have noticed that the only people reporting are the intolerant Republicans.

This is a typical example of an intolerant Republican.. Spews hate all day but just can't stand it.
