Considering just as a coach, I think Bob Woolmer is the best one.
And the proof to this is, when he was the coach of South Africa he made them a real great team and when he came to guide Pakisanis he did it again and have made them a real fighting squad.
So thumbs up for Woolmer.

GREG CHAPPEL
i think if we INDIANS get over our sick political mentaliy we can really benifit from him, he has a great record as a cricket and tremendous experience

we can grow as a cricketing nation if we adopt an attitude of "PERFORMANCE WINS A SPOT IN THE TEAM"
no regionalism no bull ****, you perform you get selected , you dont play you go home.

Greg can bring that to us, please let his do his job

IDIOTS like MATTAMMA who dont want to hear his name
but they will type it themselves, these kind of people only want to have desi morons like ganguly raping the team rather than real progress

as for the purpose of a coach, he is the guy who takes the team to the next level, so the best coach is who ever makes most difference to the team or the player

My pick for that would be John Buchannan or Ramakant Achrekar

if i m given the chance i wud prove myself 'the best" :P,
dont know much abt coaches but it should be wolmer n australian team's coach, as their efforts are shown by the performance of their teams, i wud add one more name that is "javed Miandad" who did coaching of Pakistani team long ago n i remeber during that period Pakistan had played brilliantly.........but he gone with the air coz of politics anyway, i wud say "the team which play best has best coach"

Duncan Fletcher of England. He has taken a bunch of no hopers and transormed them into potential world beaters. I think they are still a player or two short to beat Australia but I'm looking forward to a great Ashes series.
