Pirates of the Carribean-Dead Man's Chest on the PSP?

i have the game and i can't beat the last level with the kraken...can anyone help? tips would be useful!!

Mission X, The Kraken


The final challenge is the Kraken.

In order to face the Kraken, Jack must have conquered all 5 Treasure Arenas to
collect all 5 Kraken Statue pieces.

You must damage the Kraken's body in order to diminish its health gauge.
Striking a tentacle will not damage the Kraken permanently but it is a
strategy that must be employed during the battle.

When you first encounter the Kraken, you will see two of its tentacles
clutching the two masts of the ship. You must strike both of the tentacles.
When you do this, the Kraken will rise out of the water, giving you a brief
opportunity to attack.

There are two ways by which you can damage the Kraken:

1. Take a torch from the opposite end of the ship and race to one of the four
cannon to light the fuse, causing the cannon to fire.

2. Perform a Pirate Action to activate the nets filled with powder kegs.
When activated, the nets will swing directly in front of the Kraken. Collect
a pistol from the ship's deck and fire at the net, causing an explosion that
will damage the Kraken.

When the Kraken has been injured, it will fall back into the water and you
will have to wait until it rises again in order to attack once more. Even if
it is not damaged, its appearance out of the water is time-limited. Once it
goes down into the water again, its two tentacles once more will wrap
themselves round the ship masts. You then must strike both tentacles again to
cause the Kraken to rise up out of the water.

Whenever a tentacle that holds the ship's mast is cut, another tentacle will
appear to sweep the ship's deck. These tentacles can cause considerable
damage. You therefore must leap over the tentacle as it moves or run to the
side of the ship to avoid it. Other tentacles will attempt to wrap themselves
round the cannon, to drag them from the ship's deck. You must attack these
tentacles or you will lose your cannons.

There are three more tentacles that randomly punch through the ship's deck
from time to time, writhing and striking the deck in three separate
locations. Avoid these tentacles while pursuing your attack on the Kraken's
body.

Remember that the only way to deplete the Kraken's health bar is to attack the
Kraken's body and the only way to cause the Kraken to rise out of the water is
to strike both tentacles that are wrapped round the ship's masts.

Keep following the same procedure until the Kraken's health gauge is fully
depleted. When you have defeated the Kraken, you will have won the game.

You will want to play all Treasure Arenas and even replay levels if you wish
to gain 100% in the game, however.
